Cass Review

In April 2024 the final report of the Cass Review was published. The Review, which was commissioned by NHS England, provided an account of existing scientific evidence regarding gender identity services for young people, plus recommendations for future service design.

Since this time, I’ve sought to counter disinformation and harm associated with both the Cass Review itself, and external commentary around it. This page links to my own critiques of the Cass Review, plus my round up of other people’s resources.

2022 blog post

A blog post I wrote during the process of the Cass Review, opposing an amendment of the Gender Recognition Act which enabled Cass to collect trans people’s confidential data without our consent. All but one of England’s adult gender clinics would later refuse to provide this data.
